Have you ever felt stuck? Somehow caught in a cycle of work, home, work, home that never seems to end? You feel like you've lost your mojo and sometime during this whole "being an adult thing" you stopped being in the driver's seat and just accepted your hamster wheel existence?

Well, here at the In Search of Adventure Show, we want to get you out of your hamster wheel, and into the world of ADVENTURE! It turns out that adventures don't need to be limited to your annual holiday, so our aim is to get you to the point where you seek & find adventure each & everyday. By lighting your spark of curiosity, you will find yourself instilled with a new sense of wonder that will see you taking back control of the narrative of your life, and truly being the HERO of your own story.

We're not another inspirationally vague, or vaguely inspirational show either. We are on a mission to help you build your Dream Muscle, and then teach you how to turn those dreams into real life adventures. So you'll hear about real people, real adventures, and action oriented tips to get you dreaming, adventuring, and ultimately really living.

The main segment of the show is where we interview everyday people who have lived extraordinary adventures. The adventures we cover aren't just about travel, but include new things you might want to learn, experiences to have, or even new careers to consider. Our aim is for these interviews to represent a very eclectic bunch of cool stuff you might want to add to your own dream list. We also include some practical tips to keep your Action Hero skills sharp and throw in some movie reviews that might inspire other future adventures too.

Adventure awaits folks, so be sure to subscribe to the show if you enjoy our guest's tales and if you are keen to lean in to a life of adventure, then please come join us in the Adventure Clubroom - our private facebook group where you can mix with trainee Action Heroes like yourself, sharing new adventure ideas & crowdsourcing any hurdles you encounter as you kick off your next big adventure! Connect a million people through laughter | 5 steps to handling our inner critic

Connect a million people through laughter | 5 steps to handling our inner critic

Do YOU know enough people to get a million members into a facebook group?
I know I don’t, and I would imagine our guest Danielle Askew didn’t think so either. Turns out, she would have been wrong. Starting as a way to make each other laugh, the Bin Isolation Outing group began with friends sharing photos of themselves getting dressed up in costumes to take their rubbish bins out - because during COVID19 our bins get to go out more than we do! Within one month it had turned into an international phenomenon, even being mentioned on the Graham Norton show, all driven by Danni’s belief that laughter is the best medicine. Thousands of people now take part in bin outings every day and the positivity the group has generated has been lauded by first responders all over the world. Not surprisingly this has been quite the steep learning curve for Danni, and she shares the incredible positives, and the unfortunate negatives that hosting a group like this brings.
Plus, Peita & Hayley chat about the danger in letting our inner critic get too loud, and provide some tips to ensure our inner negative voice doesn’t rob us of trully joyous experiences.

Retrain for a new career in your 40s | Tips to adventuring in Middle Age

Have you ever secretly wondered if you could start an entirely new career? Going back to university to study and then starting again from the bottom rung of the ladder? Well, our guest Lisa Merton did exactly that, closing up her couture wedding gown business of 10 years to head back to TAFE to study graphic design. Not surprisingly, being a mature age student had its challenges, but Lisa persisted and discovered she had a whole lot of life skills that made her transition into her new career so rewarding a whole lot faster than she might have expected.  Plus, Peita & Hayley chat about how when we hit middle age we can start to let our lizard brain trick us into thinking we are too old for certain adventures - and provide tips on how to move past this mindset.

Living on a Cruise Ship | Using Google Maps as your Travel Journal | Titanic

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to LIVE on a cruise ship? Travelling around the globe all year round? Well, our guest Helen & our host Peita were lucky enough to enjoy a trip on The World - which is basically an exclusive apartment block on the ocean. Their particular adventure occurred in and around the Faroe Islands & Iceland and in this episode they share their experiences both on and off the ship. Plus, Peita & Hayley chat about how we can go about using Google Maps as our venue research tool and awesome travel journal and for the Popcorn Adventures segment they talk about a movie whose main song is as famous as the movie itself and has spawned memes, mimics and even some experiments to test the validity of some of the lead character’s decision making. The movie we’re referring to is Titanic.

Your Money Maven ,

You Got Me @ Action Hero!

What do Disneyland, RVs, Flamenco, Cruise Shups, Lightsaber Academy’s, Money & Baby Yoda have in common?
This amazing Podcast from the inner workings of Peita D’s mind.
Her guest are Everyday people doing amazing things and sharing the adventure with us.
At a time when the world pays more attention to pictures and blah blah blah, Peita D and her guests inspire me to take my words, write my action list and actually get off my substantial back side and ACT!
I love Popcorn adventures for giving me a reason to watch movies through a whole new lense: “the finance action hero”.
Keep them episodes coming!
Peita D is a woman after my own ❤️ and mind!
